Where are you?
We are located at 319 Brunswick Street in Fitzroy, which is on the corner of Brunswick and Argyle Streets. It is a short tram ride from the Melbourne CBD to Fitzroy, just simply jump on tram route number 11 and off at stop number 16 or bus route number 200… We look forward to meeting you!
What's the dress code?
We recommend wearing long pants and closed shoes to go into the IceBar. However, we provide snow capes, gloves and ugg boots (where required). You'll feel the chill no matter what you wear, however the more clothes you wear, the longer you'll last!
What happens if I arrive late?
No worries! If you think you might be late, give us a heads up and we'll see you when you get here! Our sessions are pretty flexible so we'll get you in asap.
Where can I park?
Parking is available at Coles, just behind ICEBAR MELBOURNE. Access to the car park is via Argyle Street.
How does it work?
Whether you pre-pay on line, or pay at the door, once you've chosen your entry package, we'll get you wrapped up in a snow cape, glove and boots (where necessary) before sending you into the IceBar where you can enjoy a drink! We have self-activated cameras inside to use, as you are not allowed to use your personal cameras and we have an ever changing display of hand carved ice sculptures for you to check out.
How long do we stay in there?
There is no time limit for your visit, you can stay as long as you like! On average, guests feel most comfortable for around 30 minutes or so, but if you need to pop out and have a warm coffee before heading back in, that's fine with us.
Are kids allowed in the Ice Bar?
Absolutely! Kids (ie: under 18's) are welcome to visit between 11am and 7pm, with last admissions at 6:30pm. Under 4's go in for free, as long as you provide your child with appropriate cold weather clothing. Please bare in mind that arctic temperatures are not recommended for toddlers and babies!
